Temperature Forcing Systems

DCP-201

  • Temperature Range -55°C to +175°C
  • Cooling Power 40W at -40°C
  • Transition Rate 25°C to -40°C in <35 sec
  • Accuracy ±1.0°C
  • Stability ±0.4°C
  • DUT Size Accommodates chip sizes ranging from 2X2 mm to 50X50 mm

The DCP-201 is ThermoSpot’s entry-level direct contact thermal cycling system — -55°C to +175°C with 40W cooling capacity at -40°C, no thermoelectric modules, and a ThermoBridge™ probe head that mates directly to the IC or device under test. For characterisation and failure analysis of moderate-power devices where air temperature forcing is too indirect.

The DCP-201 uses proprietary refrigeration, not thermoelectric modules, to deliver direct conductive thermal cycling to the device surface through an interchangeable ThermoBridge™ probe head. Where air-based systems struggle with high-power or high-thermal-mass devices, direct contact removes the air gap entirely. DUT temperature is closed-loop controlled via an attached thermocouple, diode, or RTD; a 5.25″ touchscreen handles profiling, ramp/soak, and cycle programming without external software.

Overview

The DCP-101 is the right ThermoSpot for moderate-power ICs requiring direct contact thermal cycling from -55°C to +175°C, 40W cooling capacity, proprietary refrigeration and ThermoBridge™ direct-to-device contact for characterisation and failure analysis that air temperature forcing cannot support.
